2nd Place - MIC CUP TOURNAMENT
It was a 1-day tournament oragnized by the PUTERA MIC Russian Chapter ... and at the end of the day.. penalty was the villain for CFC tat nite as they lost in penalties to GM again in a entertaining final game. 1st Runner up .. tat how CFC went back home as.
A 2nd tournament in row tat CFC took part which was participated by most of Moscow's big guns such as Heroes, U9, Soleus, Boogis, Copa and etc. With a fresh defeat from the league the previous week, CFC started their group stage xtra careful. Drawn with D'Knights, Diablos and Soldier Boys... CFC ended their group stage by topping the group with 9 points, all 3 wins. All the 3 wins was a "1-0" win. Then in the Quater-finals.. it was against the mighty Copa which was equipped with more talented players as Mate and Nabil..still CFC ended the game with a 1-0 victory and again repeated the victory against Soleus in the Semi-Finals with the same scoring.
2nd time in a row, CFC advanced to Finals in Cup Tournaments and tis time..their opponent was ..again with GM. CFC was surely looking for a revenge after they were defeated by GM the week b4 in the league match. Sporting their new Blue color jersey for the finals.. CFC played well, created chances and just cant find the finishing touch. 1st half.. 0-0 was the score. 2nd half, CFC started off with some personal and tactical changes which immediately back-fired them as GM's striker Afiq scored the 1st goal of the game. From there on.. it was an one way attacking game..with CFC players throwing all they noe to get the much searched equlizer.. and time was runnnin fast.. with barely 50 seconds left on the watch... Arulkanesh, the never-say-die Captain was sending end long rane shoot which was dealt well by GM's keeper.. then out of sudden.. Sathiya took a full advantage of a loose ball and burried it in the back of the net. The whole sport complex was in esctasy as CFC got the equlizer as oni 5 second life.. After tat 5 seconds, it was the most dreaded penalty. If last time around Faizal was the keeper, tis time it was Murad @ Tyco was in-change of tat department. Tis time.. it went all wrong for CFC.. 1st penalty was saved and the second one was scored while GM scored both. With oni a goal can keep CFC alive in the game.. Updesh stepped-up to take the crucial kick and pooof... his kick too was saved by the opponent keeper.. and we endend the nite 2nd to best. With "Nothin then Best" as out spirit... tat nite we had to settle for 2nd. Overall, a decent run from the CFC guys.. but not as entertaining game from them.. scoring oni 6 times thru out the tournament and clean sheet all they way till the Final game.. its more of a defensive mode by the Yellow Guys... proving tat, you dont need to score a whole bunch of goals to win something.. but u can do tat by not conceding any. A mind-blowing performance by Murad which surely worth mentioning.
2nd place in MIC Cup Tournament.. not a bad place to be for the CFC guys... we congratz GM for winning the Tournament.. and looking forward for the next Cup tournament... :D

Chittapa FC vs Geng Malaysia
Unfortunately, it endeed as 3rd defeat of the season. 2-0 was the score at the end of the whistle. A disappointing result considering a very long winning run of 6 games b4 tat. All looked going wrong for CFC from the very start itself, all the players were not playing as usual and 3 of the CFC players, Arulkanesh, Arul Botak and Sathiya were looking very slugish and tired as they had Uni Team training the nite b4. To cut it short, it was one of the worst performance of the season.. can even be said as the lowerly performance ever. 2 goals from GM, was just too good for CFC. All the players were in vain looking for the 1st and equalizer goal, which never bout came on tat nite. The "Jinx" with GM team repeated again with the same goal-scoring as in the previous season. CFC players went back home with nothin but sadness.

Preview Match No. 9
Chittapa FC vs Geng Malaysia
Its the time of the year when the two Yellow Teams meet each other. CFC will be facing Geng Malaysia for the 9th game of RFL 08/09. With GM was also seen sporting a new Jersey and a very courageous and great footbal last week, they without doubt a great obstacle to pass if CFC to get their 7th win of the season. With the CFC team havent trained together with all its teamates due to some porblem with getting the court, the Captain, Arulkanesh, hopes all the 7 guys can still show the chemostry and biology.. heheh :P on the fields tomoro nite and shall try to get the maximum points out of the game. GM also tis time are equipped with Afiq Rushi, Awe, Che Pooh and many more.. all the names are not alien to us as all of them can play a desent futsal, with the Sharp-Shooter Afiq and the All-cool-guy Awe.. surely posing a hard time for CFC tomoro.
We wish CFC best of luck in carrying their winning run to 7 games in a row.. all the best guys.

Afiq - the sharp shooter of GM with great pace and stamina.
Awe- the cool guy tat has a good eye for opportunity and has a very good passing...

It was a great start for the second half of the RFL 08.. a winning head start with 4-0 over the Samba guys. Surprisingly the Yellow Army suddenly became the Army of Blue.. CFC was wearing a new Jersey.. blue color with some yellow lining near the neck.. as claimed by the Manager, Ganesh.. he said its their kinda of Away kit.. :) Yellow or Blue, they still were playing their old game.. just a little rusty.. may be due to the long holiday period.. This time around..it was Arul Botak who turned up for the Goalkeeper job.. and a familiar start ups consist of Arulkanesh, Updesh, Thanes and Sathiya.. Thanes was said to be almost recovered from his knee injury.. and more and more evolving into the "Thanes" we know when CFC won the first ever RFL in 06/07. CFC got the first goal in the first half thru the No. 5 guy, Sathiya, who was showing off his number on the jersey after scoring.. a normal eyesight after tat guy scores everytime. Samba guy never produced any threat posing moves until Harinthiran struck the post in the second half when the goalkeeper duty was exhanged btwn the Aruls.. :) After tat.. it was one way street.. with CFC had alot of chances to score which when beggingly out and off target. Thanes scored the second of the night and Arul went for the third and Ganesan wrapped up the night with his typical long range shot. Not to say the best flowing game tat could be produced by the CFC guys, but was good enuf to secure 3 points. Hope next week, they can continue tis run also.. :)

Up And Running
Its been like ages since the blog was updated... sorry for the delay guys... As you all noe all of us had exams and were xtremely busy studyin.. as we oni do tat when the exam is near.. haha :D
After tat.. most of the player went off for their most needed vacations.. some went back to Malaysia... some went to Europe travel around the countries... some went around Moscow.. and some..being a lazy bump... just sleeping in the room.. haha :D
So, back to the business.. this week the Yellow Army will be playing against the Samba guys. They ended the 1st part of RFL with a 4 game winning streak.. with the last against Copa which ended in a 6 goals thriller. With currently on the 3rd position in the league table.. and mathematically still with the chance of ending the league as Champions.. they need to win their all remaining games to keep their hopes alive. So, they hope to start their 12 point search with a win over the Samba guys. CFC had a "sudden" training on Wednesday nite.. but not all the players could make it.. then their usual friday training was clashing with Uni Team training... which means.. basically the whole team never played together since last Disember. The Yellow guys hope to continue their winning run tommorow too and they hope they can show some good piece of futsal tomoro night to entertain the crowd as a Valentine gift.. haha lol... :D
And theres been some rumours tat.. CFC got something up their sleves.. and they are keeping it secretly among the CFC circles oni.. Looking forward to noe wat is tat all about..

Review Match No.7
Chittapa FC vs Copa Cobana
Well, no one will deny if anyone says tat the match between those 2 teams was the most entertaining in the last week of RFL b4 the winter break. With the predicting is well against CFC.. with 3-1 for the Blue Guys to win, that showed how good Copa's form was. As soon as the match started, the M2fc's prediction was soon becoming true as Copa scored the first goal in couple of minutes after the start of the game. CFC's player kept their cool, and played on..only to be shocked by Copa's 2nd goal. With 2 goals down, CFC guys were still seen brimming with confidence of winning the game, as Arulkanesh was seeing motivating his fellow guy to just play as how they always play during their training time. Those 2 Copa's goals were due to some bad defensive error by the Yellow Guys. Somehow, 2 goals down never deterred CFC's from attacking and they pulled 1 goal back thru Arul Botak. Then the game just got more entertaining, with both team trying attack at every chances they had. Shafiq rattled the goal post with Sathiya the goal keeper was well beaten. Some misunderstanding btwn goalie and Arulkanesh almost led to an own-goal by Arulkanesh.. who somehow brilliantly..(hehehehe) used his finger tips to push the ball away from entering the goal. With the Ref cant see the Captain's act, his assistant, had a clear view of the incident and a penalty was awarded to Copa and a yellow card was flashed to Arulkanesh. Arul Botak stepped up to take up the goalie duty from Sathiya and he did very well to keep away Shafiq's rocketing penalty from going into the goal. CFC guys were all high with confidence after the penalty save and started to show their own pace and rhythm of futsal.
The second half started with CFC switched to Attack mode with only Arulkanesh was playing as defend, with Ganesan withdrawn and Updesh, Brahma and Sathiya was sent in. Clearly, they oni had 1 target in the mind... to win the game. Arulkanesh was keeping up the pressure by playing more offensively and was constantly testing Copa's keeper but to no avail. Some sloppy defence by Copa's player was fully benefited by Sathiya as he pulled another 1 goal to equal the score to 2-2. After that, it was Thanes ( The BABA) who stole the limelight by scoring a very nice goal by slotting pass Boo with very little space available to him. Slowly.. tis bearded striker gaining his match fitness after a long spell with knee injury. 3-2 the score was then, and CFC had more chances with Updesh missing a open-goal chance ( he claimed tat he dont like to score very easy goals.. :P) Then some not-so-neat passing from CFC prevented them from scoring more. Meanwhile, Shafiq lashed onto a fierce shot tat hit the post and sumhow was kept out by the goalie, Arul Botak.. much to his own surprise.. hahahah :D Then, Ganesan agained poped-up the 4th goal for CFC, which guaranteed their 3 points. Ganesan, who scored 3 goals in the past 3 games.. all of them were the winning goals..was in a hot-form. ( Due to the salad we think..:P)
Overall, CFC played reli well and showed some nice game and showed tat they have the characters to come back from 2 goals down and to win the game. The whole CFC was in euphoric mood after the win. Congratz guy, a well earned and nice performance by all of you.. Keep it up for the 2nd half to the league next February.
