Tamil New Year Cup 09

Its Tamil New Year Cup again.. 2nd year in row... organized by our own CFC guys and also all the others tat helped to make tis event a succesful one.. We take the opportunity here to thanks all tat helped us on tat day.. Thanks alot guys and gals... We LOVE you all..!!!

Again.. CFC was the Champions of Tamil New Year Cup 09... and tis time.. they won it with full of excitements and dramas ... and they deserved to be called as The King of Comebacks... haha :D

Finished the group stage as 1st with 7 points.. 2 wins and a draw... CFC met with JDam in quaterfinal.. It was like "History repeats" as U9( know as JDam in the TNY Cup) was the opponent in the quaterfinals 1 year ago in the same Cup.. and sadly last year.. CFC crashed to them. With a feel of revenge.. CFC guys started of the game against JDam brightly.. there were very little openings as both teams played very well.. With the normal timing ended, the game went in to xtra time with 0-0 the score. But, it was JDam tat opened the scoring in the second half of xtra time.. and with time running out .. CFC was unable to get the much needed equalizer goal.. The last year defeat was slightly glooming over CFC's guys.. but they never quit. Waves of attacks from CFC.. and JDam was more than happy to defend the 1 goal lead.. with seconds to go.. a moment of brilliant from Sathiya.. who somehow squeezed the ball pass JDam's keeper thru a very very small angle earned CFC the much needed goal. And it ended 1-1 and went to penalty shootout.. With both Brahma and Sathiya missing the kick and Rama.. our heroic keeper was called in action by saving 2 penalty kick of JDam.. and Arul Botak finished the game by scoring penalty and the game ended as 1-0 in penalty shootout. A well deserved comeback win.

Then again in Semis.. against a very tough opponent, HotDog from M1.. it was a hell of a game tat drained all the energy from the CFC's player till at the end of the xtra time.. the game ended with 2-2.. tis time.. a well deserved 2-1 lead was let slipped away by the Guys in Yellow.. and tat resulted them to be in the penalty shoot-out. Tis time Brahma and Arul Botak was on target with Sathiya again missing the kick.. but a great goalkeeping from Rama in the penalty shoutout..again helped CFC to edge their opponent and advanced to final.

Final.. it was 3rd final tat CFC went to in 3 available tournament tis 08/09 season... and tis time it was agains the almight Heroes.. equipped with Sharma and Ijat from M1.. they posed the greatest threat for CFC to lift the TNY Cup for the 1st time. They game started with both team playing very carefully not to concede early goal.. A deary mistake by one of the CFC guys resulted in Heroes to get their 1st goal... but it doesnt make the CFC guy down.. they were keep on creating chances .. but the 1st half ended with 1-0 to Heroes.. As soon as the 2nd half started.. Heroes scored their 2nd goal.. and tat send all the M1 supporters in ectasy. 2 goal lead .. with the second half fast coming to an end... Arulkanesh was urging his team to never stop attacking as they got nothin to lost at the moment.. a brilliant passing by the the whole team lead to Updesh to score the first goal.. and tat goal..was so important in getting all the CFC's spirit up high.. They kept on pushing.. and it was like couples of seconds b4 the 2nd half goin to finis... and Brahma.. the most skillful player in the team.. showed some of his skills and somehow chipped the ball into the goal with 2 Heroes defender around him and the keeper advancing to him... Goalll......The whole M2 ppl was in such a delight.. as though we scored the winning goal.. Wat an atmosphere it was after tat goal.. and thanks to GOD.. it ended in 2-2 and penalty shootout was held.. Tis time both Brahma and Sathiya was on target and a superb goalkeeping by Rama.. who saved 2 kicks from Heroes.. resulted in Chittapa FC being crowned as the Tamil New Year Cup 09's Champion..Wat a day it was.. many comebacks.. exciting goal.. and superb goalkeeping ... at the end..its the team work tat lead CFC to the victory... Guys Congratz and wish u guys all the best in ur future..
Worth mentioning here is.. Rama's superb goalkeeping.. Thanks alot to Rama... Anyway guys.. his our new signing.. currently the most expensive player bought by the team.. Lotz of money been offered to his previous club in getting his services.. the prove.. u can see our Manager, Ganesh.. kinda broke tis day.. hahaha :D
With tis tournament.. its kinda an end to all the futsal excitement tis 08/09 year.. CFC has came thru a long way to be in tis current position.. Agains congratz to all the players and we pray to GOD.. that CFC will reach to a greater heights in future.. Adioss.... Byee..

The RFL 08/09

Its been a wonderful RFL 08/09 for CFC.. even though not the best .. haha :)
11 games were played.. and the heres the stats of the Guys in Yellow.. :-

Played : 11 games
Won : 8 games
Draw : None
Lost : 3 games

CFC ended the league with a total of 24 points.. just 7 points adrift of the Champions and 4 points of the 1st Runner-Up..

They guys scored a total of 27 goals and conceded 11 goals.. which is the second least conceded in the league next to the Champions with 7 conceded goals..

Goals scored by :-
1) Brahmadev - 6 goals including 1 hatrik ( CFC Top Scorer of the season)

2) Sathiya - 5 goals
Arul Botak
Ganesan

3) Thanes - 3 goals

4) Updesh - 2 goals

5) Arulkanesh - 1 goal.. the captain only managed tat.. which date back to the first game.. haha

In addition of securing the 3rd place, CFC was honored as Sathiya was named as the Best Player of the Season... and he was telling the achievement goes to all his teammates and manager,Ganesh.

Chittapa FC vs Gastroboi

And.. its end as a 2-0 win for the Chittapas... and tat successfully crowed CFC as the 2nd Runner-Up of RFL. A not so convincing game from the guys from yellow but good enuf to get the required 3 points.. and Arul Botak and Ganesan once again were on target tat night.. which ended with lots of photos and medals and hampers.. It felt good to be back in the top 3 of RFL after missing out last season.. Congratz Chittapa FC.. wish u all congratz and good luck in ur future participations in any tournaments... Forever CFC..

Chitappa FC vs Gastroboi

For every beginning, thrs an ending.. tats goes to our RFL 08/09 as well.. After a stretch of almost 5 months of RFL 08/09, comes to end to nite.. and on tis last fixture.. CFC going against the Pink Army.. Gastroboi.

3rd in the league.. and all tat CFC need is another win to seal the 3rd placing tat they have been occupying for most of the season. With DNC certainly the Champions and Boogis in 2nd place.. CFC need to get the much needed 3 points against the Pink Army tat always full of suprises. Hope all the CFC's players will be giving their best under their Captain Arulkanesh to produce another entertaining game as the previous week. We wish the lady luck will be with CFC to nite.. and may the Yellow Guys triumph to night. ALL THE BEST GUYS.

Chittapa FC vs Spartans

With Copa losing tis week, CFC back to their long retained 3rd place after temporarily occupied 4th place for a week after their shock 2-0 defeat to GM last week. Tis week, it was a total new story.. with the Captain,still recovering from sick, Arulkanesh opted for goal-keeper. Spartans.. they are like our very much good ally.. very close to our heart.. hahah :D.. but at the end of the match.. the score was WOW 6-0... :D The game was filled with both teams players making jokes among them and CFC players all trying to carve their name on the goal scoring sheet. The first hatrick of the season for Brahma came timely for him after a very long goal-shy run. All 3 well deserving goals.. and followed by Sathiya who coolly slot pass the keeper and Arul Botak dont wanna to be left out too.. But the goal of the nite.. surely belonged to Thanes.. scored a screamer from the left side of the field with such a tight angle. A shot tat went straight pass the keeper ..hit the right goal post and ended on the left side of the goal net.. wat a goal by this lanky striker who scored 3 goals out of 3 games.. Wat a performance by the whole team.. Overall the whole team had fun on the field.

Snaps From MIC Cup Tournament 09

MIC Cup Tournament.

2nd Place - MIC CUP TOURNAMENT

It was a 1-day tournament oragnized by the PUTERA MIC Russian Chapter ... and at the end of the day.. penalty was the villain for CFC tat nite as they lost in penalties to GM again in a entertaining final game. 1st Runner up .. tat how CFC went back home as.

A 2nd tournament in row tat CFC took part which was participated by most of Moscow's big guns such as Heroes, U9, Soleus, Boogis, Copa and etc. With a fresh defeat from the league the previous week, CFC started their group stage xtra careful. Drawn with D'Knights, Diablos and Soldier Boys... CFC ended their group stage by topping the group with 9 points, all 3 wins. All the 3 wins was a "1-0" win. Then in the Quater-finals.. it was against the mighty Copa which was equipped with more talented players as Mate and Nabil..still CFC ended the game with a 1-0 victory and again repeated the victory against Soleus in the Semi-Finals with the same scoring.

2nd time in a row, CFC advanced to Finals in Cup Tournaments and tis time..their opponent was ..again with GM. CFC was surely looking for a revenge after they were defeated by GM the week b4 in the league match. Sporting their new Blue color jersey for the finals.. CFC played well, created chances and just cant find the finishing touch. 1st half.. 0-0 was the score. 2nd half, CFC started off with some personal and tactical changes which immediately back-fired them as GM's striker Afiq scored the 1st goal of the game. From there on.. it was an one way attacking game..with CFC players throwing all they noe to get the much searched equlizer.. and time was runnnin fast.. with barely 50 seconds left on the watch... Arulkanesh, the never-say-die Captain was sending end long rane shoot which was dealt well by GM's keeper.. then out of sudden.. Sathiya took a full advantage of a loose ball and burried it in the back of the net. The whole sport complex was in esctasy as CFC got the equlizer as oni 5 second life.. After tat 5 seconds, it was the most dreaded penalty. If last time around Faizal was the keeper, tis time it was Murad @ Tyco was in-change of tat department. Tis time.. it went all wrong for CFC.. 1st penalty was saved and the second one was scored while GM scored both. With oni a goal can keep CFC alive in the game.. Updesh stepped-up to take the crucial kick and pooof... his kick too was saved by the opponent keeper.. and we endend the nite 2nd to best. With "Nothin then Best" as out spirit... tat nite we had to settle for 2nd. Overall, a decent run from the CFC guys.. but not as entertaining game from them.. scoring oni 6 times thru out the tournament and clean sheet all they way till the Final game.. its more of a defensive mode by the Yellow Guys... proving tat, you dont need to score a whole bunch of goals to win something.. but u can do tat by not conceding any. A mind-blowing performance by Murad which surely worth mentioning.

2nd place in MIC Cup Tournament.. not a bad place to be for the CFC guys... we congratz GM for winning the Tournament.. and looking forward for the next Cup tournament... :D
