Review Match No.7

Chittapa FC vs Copa Cobana

Well, no one will deny if anyone says tat the match between those 2 teams was the most entertaining in the last week of RFL b4 the winter break. With the predicting is well against CFC.. with 3-1 for the Blue Guys to win, that showed how good Copa's form was. As soon as the match started, the M2fc's prediction was soon becoming true as Copa scored the first goal in couple of minutes after the start of the game. CFC's player kept their cool, and played on..only to be shocked by Copa's 2nd goal. With 2 goals down, CFC guys were still seen brimming with confidence of winning the game, as Arulkanesh was seeing motivating his fellow guy to just play as how they always play during their training time. Those 2 Copa's goals were due to some bad defensive error by the Yellow Guys. Somehow, 2 goals down never deterred CFC's from attacking and they pulled 1 goal back thru Arul Botak. Then the game just got more entertaining, with both team trying attack at every chances they had. Shafiq rattled the goal post with Sathiya the goal keeper was well beaten. Some misunderstanding btwn goalie and Arulkanesh almost led to an own-goal by Arulkanesh.. who somehow brilliantly..(hehehehe) used his finger tips to push the ball away from entering the goal. With the Ref cant see the Captain's act, his assistant, had a clear view of the incident and a penalty was awarded to Copa and a yellow card was flashed to Arulkanesh. Arul Botak stepped up to take up the goalie duty from Sathiya and he did very well to keep away Shafiq's rocketing penalty from going into the goal. CFC guys were all high with confidence after the penalty save and started to show their own pace and rhythm of futsal.
The second half started with CFC switched to Attack mode with only Arulkanesh was playing as defend, with Ganesan withdrawn and Updesh, Brahma and Sathiya was sent in. Clearly, they oni had 1 target in the mind... to win the game. Arulkanesh was keeping up the pressure by playing more offensively and was constantly testing Copa's keeper but to no avail. Some sloppy defence by Copa's player was fully benefited by Sathiya as he pulled another 1 goal to equal the score to 2-2. After that, it was Thanes ( The BABA) who stole the limelight by scoring a very nice goal by slotting pass Boo with very little space available to him. Slowly.. tis bearded striker gaining his match fitness after a long spell with knee injury. 3-2 the score was then, and CFC had more chances with Updesh missing a open-goal chance ( he claimed tat he dont like to score very easy goals.. :P) Then some not-so-neat passing from CFC prevented them from scoring more. Meanwhile, Shafiq lashed onto a fierce shot tat hit the post and sumhow was kept out by the goalie, Arul Botak.. much to his own surprise.. hahahah :D Then, Ganesan agained poped-up the 4th goal for CFC, which guaranteed their 3 points. Ganesan, who scored 3 goals in the past 3 games.. all of them were the winning goals..was in a hot-form. ( Due to the salad we think..:P)
Overall, CFC played reli well and showed some nice game and showed tat they have the characters to come back from 2 goals down and to win the game. The whole CFC was in euphoric mood after the win. Congratz guy, a well earned and nice performance by all of you.. Keep it up for the 2nd half to the league next February.
Chittapa FC 4-2 Copa Cobana.

Man-of the-Match ----> Arul Ananthasivam aka Botak ( he scored a goal, he saved a goal..wat else u can expect from a player.. haha lol.. :P)

Review Match No. 6

Chittapa FC vs Akula

"Brahma was fuming" ... "Arulkanesh was seeing leaving the sportzal disappointed" That was the atmosphere in the CFC camp after their lucky win over Akula. Fresh into the game after their victory in the SUKOM Games, CFC was expected to win the game easily without forced to sweat much but.. it was all the other way around for CFC tat night. CFC's game was haywire... all the players were having too much fun in the game instead of playing the ball around the court. As usual.. CFC were given the early shock as Akula broke the deadlock and scored their 1st goal in the 1st half after some defence and goalkeeping error. Still CFC players couldn't penetrate Akula's goal. 1st half ended with Akula leading 1 -0. 2nd half started with still all the CFC players showing the same uncommitted play. Akula had a bunch of chances and even had couple of 1 on 1 with keeper.. if not for their own mistakes.. Akula would have ended the game with 3-4 goals against CFC. Updesh leveled the scoring for CFC after some descent passing and tat brought some relieve to the Manager. With clock ticking down.. Arulkanesh was seen screaming at his teammates to put more pressure on Akula's player and to get the winning goal. Couple of minutes b4 the game ended.. Ganesan found the back of the net after getting a passing from Sathiya.. 2-1 an usual result for CFC tis season.. Only Updesh played some nice futsal tat nite.. with couple of chances tat he had, a shot tat hit the post and a goal to his name... A game that suppose to be played comfortably was dragged until to the end to finish it. Surely, they cant afford another performance like tis.. or else.... With the current-second-placed Copa to be played next week.. CFC's shaky performance need to reviewed by the whole team.
Chittapa FC 2 - 1 Akula.

SUKOM @ KUMOSC 08

We Painted the SUKOM 08 YELLOW !!!!

The Champs..!! That what they called Chittapa FC at the end of the SUKOM games last Sunday. Congratz CFC's guys. The guys showed some reli nice and exciting futsal thru out the tournament. All the players gave their best and it was a complete team game and the whole team including the Manager deserved the victory. Below is the details of The SUKOM games :

Group Stage :

First game was against Nye Ting, a M1 team. CFC got a free 3 points after the team failed to be on time for the match. After waited for almost 5 minutes.. CFC was giving the 3 points with 3-0 win.

Second game was against Mayovskii 1 which is a MAI team. With most of the other teams alredi played a game.. CFC still very much "tak panas" entering the game. The opponent put up a great game against CFC.. 1st half was kinda unsettling for CFC as the half finished 0-0. CFC started the 2nd half pressuring the opponent and they got their 1st goal thru Sathiya.. and after tat it was an one-way movement..as CFC kept on creating bunch of chances.. and the game ended with 3-0 for the Yellow Guys. Another 3 points and a guaranteed quarter-final placing.

Third game was against our "sparing member", U9. With both team alredi qualified for the next stage, they played a relaxing game but still the game not-short of any entertainment.. good passing and skills from both team.. The dead-lock was broken in the 2nd half by the CFC from a long range attempt by Ganesan which caught Wak, the U9 keeper by suprise.. The game ended with 1-0 for CFC.. both team were seen making jokes and kidding around after the game...

CFC won all 3 group stage game.. collecting 9 points from 3 games.. and scored 7 goals and conceded none.

Quarter-final was against the almighty Mayovskii 2.. the another MAI team.. which caught everyone's attention in the sportzal tat day..when they showed some classy futsal by beating Dru-n-Cons in the Group-Stage. With Faizal the keeper, went to play his basketball event, CFC had to turn to their Captain, Arulkanesh to be in between the post.. again, after the league victory over Saints FC a day b4. Can be said..tat, tis was the real challenge for CFC. The agility and smooth passing of the opponent team reli posed a great treat to CFC. CFC took the lead thru Arul Botak when his shot went pass the keeper and slowly rolled in to the goal. 1-0 to CFC.. The opponent team was sending in the alot of shots knowing that CFC not playing with their proper keeper, sumhow Arulkanesh was able to keep the shots out until one defence error made the MAI guy to put a shot pass the helpless Arulkanesh. 1st half ended with 1-1. The second half started with still Arulkanesh in between the post. Sumhow the MAI guys were able to score the 2nd goal and took the lead. After tat, Arulkanesh exchanged the keeper gloves with Dalvin and moved to play his ever-fav positon, the lastman. New energy injected by the Captain after tat.. as the CFC grabbed back another goal to level the score to 2-2...thanks to Sathiya. Then with couple of minutes to go.. an asist by Arulkanesh to Sathiya resulted in 3rd goal ..as he shot a beautiful goal pass the goal-keeper. With victory just seconds away.. another fatal defence error .. caused CFC the victory as the opponent scored 1 more to level the game at 3-3 and the game ended with 3-3. With no extra time played, the match went straight to penalty-kick but tis time CFC got their much awaited boost as their keeper, Faizal was just in time for the penalty shoot out. Dalvin scored coolly the 1st penalty.. and Brahma too confidently slot passed the keeper.. but unfortunately Updesh failed to convert his spot kick. With 3 kicks taken..both teams were tied at 2-2 in the penalty and it went to the sudden-death penalty. Faizal superbly saved MAI's first spot kick which leave CFC just need to score to advance to Semi-final. Arul Botak stepped up and put the ball in the net.. and the game ended with 3-3 ( 3-2 in penalty) The victory was truthly belongs to all the M2 ppl who supported CFC thru out the match. M2 forever.. !!!

Semi-finals was between Zibom FC from M1. The game was controlled mostly by CFC and the game ended with 3-0 and not to forget a superb goal by the Arul Botak who scored with a superb header from Dalvin's cross... might have been the goal of the tournament. Heheh...

Final was again with U9.. the 1st and 2nd from Group C advanced all they way to the final showdown. They took picture together b4 the match started. Both teams were too kind-hearted as both Captains were offering each other the kick-off.. until the ref interfered and gave U-9 the kick-off. The game was fast paced.. with U9's two mighty player maker... Suzuan and Shahrul Azreen showed some good pace and tested CFC's keeper Faizal couple of times.. and they were the 1st to break the deadlock when they slot one pass our keeper.. who was keeping a cleen sheet until at tat moment. Arulkanesh was urging his player to show more commitment into the game.. and being the Captain.. again he assisted another passing to
Sathiya which he put into the net with confident. 1st hald ended with 1-1 . 2nd half started with CFC started to pick-up their own rhythm... and U9 guys were showing sign of tiredness..as they had less time to rest b4 the Finals. Brahma.. who didnt score till then.. finally scored the 2nd goal for CFC.. and with tat goal... CFC's players were brimming with confidence of winning the match. With couple of minutes to go.. Arulkanesh dribbled the ball deep from his side into the U9''s half and passed the ball to Arul Botak who slide-poked the ball into the net and 3-1 was the score. As soon as the final whistle was blown.. CFC players and all the supporters were in cloud nine. It was their first Cup win after last won the 1st RFL League in 2007. The happiest man at tat time without no doubt, was the Captain, Arulkanesh.. who was very satisfied with how all his guys played the game and how they showed a team-game to win the tournament, even thou he was little sad because dint even score a single goal... hahahaha :P

Overall.. CFC won all 6 games.. scored 16 goals and conceded 4 goals. All the players.. Arul Botak, Brahma, Updesh, Ganesan and Sathiya scored and the top scorer was Sathiya with 6 goal in his pocket... oni Arulkanesh and Dalvin dint join the scorers list as they were busy keeping the defence tight... heheh... just a word of consolation for their short-coming in scoring goal.. :P

Not to forget ... our most sincere thanks to all the M2 supporters who supported us all the way.. we are nothing without all of u ... Thanks M2..
No team can win in our soil except M2 team.. :)

CONGRATZ CHITTAPA FC...

Review Match No.5

Chittapa FC vs Saints FC

3 players scored their 1st goal of the season... Arul Botak, Updesh and Ganesan all scored with Sathiya squeezed 1 in between them to record their 3rd win of the season. 4-1 .. tat was the final score.. The game started with Arul Botak, Ganesan, Sathiya and Brahma made the starting line up and Arulkanesh was left in between the post. The boys in yellow started slowly.. with some slumber passing and dribles by each of them... until Arul Botak scored with his trade-mark long shot.. which rocketted straight into the roof of the goal. Saint's guy sumhow managed to pull back 1 goal afer some sloppy defending by the CFC guys.. Another headed goal by Agni and Arulkanesh was left exposed at the back. The 1st half ended with 1-1. Second half started with more pressing by the CFC guys after the Captain kept on urging his guys to get the winning goal. Suddenly CFC found their own rhytm and their passing was suddenly neat and in no time..goals were flowing in for them. Ganesan scored one nice goal from the middle of the field.. while Sathiya and Updesh scored 2 nice goal after some great foot-works. Even the keeper, Arulkanesh had some chances to test Saint's keeper.. but was well blocked by Saint's defend.

Only Brahma was left fuming..after he didnt get passing from his teammates... to increase his goal-scoring account... heheh... :P

Well done guys... hope you all can keep tis good form to he end of the season... Nice Job...

4-1 to Chittapa FC.

SUKOM 08 @ KUMOSC

The Umno Game is back... and this time with more games and excitement.. :) This will be the 1st time CFC taking part in the SUKOM, as the previous KUMOSC in 2007.. most of the CFC players played for their batch-teams. CFC is drawn with U9, Nye Ting and Mayovskii 1 in Group C. 2 of the team in the Group C is not known to us..but U9 is one of the top teams in M1 league, and both CFC and U9 have always played together for a long time. Both teams share a good relation btwn themselves. Hopefully both U9 and CFC will have a great run in tis SUKOM 08.
As for CFC.. they are still w/o Thanes.. who is still injured.. and for tis 1 day SUKOM game.. CFC will have Faizal and Dalvin playing for them. All the other members of the CFC are expected to play as all are injury-free except for Arul Botak who has been complaining of sakit-perut for past 2 days.. hehehe.. :P
Wish CFC all the best and good luck for SUKOM 08 and hope they will show some exciting performance tis Sunday .. !!

Preview Match No. 5

Chittapa FC vs Saints FC

"Improvement".. thats the only thing tat CFC can wish for at the moment. After started off their RFL 08/09 season with great form, they are currently so-out-of-form. With only able to score 5 goals in 4 games and conceded 5 goals alredi tis season... CFC guys surely need to get their game-play straight. 6 points out of 4 games and currently on the 5th position, surely tat wasn't wat CFC players wanted when they kicked off the season. Next opponent, Saints FC, pose danger to CFC, with all Saint's new players showed an impressive performance so far. After another poor performance from Arulkanesh last week, he will surely not be drafted in the first-four for the Saints FC's match. With Arul Botak back after suspension, he will be eager to get back into the game.. and hope he will be able to score some goals tis coming Saturday. Sathiya and Brahma will be hoping to improve their play after missing a-whole bunch of chances in the previous game. A recurring injury to the knee after last week's game, surely will rule out Thanes for another couple of week more... its been a frustating season for the tall-lanky stiker who is so eager to kick some balls.Ganesan will be expected to fill in the last-man position left by Arulkanesh and with the keeper-rotation system still on.. the keeper for the next game still unknown...
Hope
CFC can put-up a great performance against Toh's Red Army... and CFC surely will be trying to get their next 3 points in the bag. WAKE UP GUYS IN YELLOW !!!!!

Player to watch:
Toh - the long-range shooter of the team..
Agni - a player tat can sneak a goal out of nowhere..
Ghajen - the most skilled player in the team

Review Match No. 4

Chittapa FC vs Bukit Tinggi

Its been 2 weeks since the blog got updated, actually all CFC members were xtremely busy with their studies for the past 2 weeks, as all the exams are nearing by.

After a narrow lost to the league leader's, CFC surely need to regroup back all their aspect of games and also their players attitude. After getting his first ever red card in his entire footballing career, Arul Botak was left out of the BT match, and to fill the shortage of the player, our still-injury -plagued-stiker, Thanes stepped up to cover up for the vacant in the team. Arulkanesh, the
captain, came under heavy scrutinies after a sloppy game against DNC, with both goals scored by the opponent due to his mistakes. CFC was desperate to get 3 points from BT match, and they started the game with Updesh in btwn the goal-post. The game started with a very slow tempo from CFC with BT was more than happy to sit deep in their area. Sathiya who did well as goal-keeper in the previous game was playing up-field with Brahma. The 1st half ended with alot of chances that cant be converted by those 2 players. Thanes, probably still with the injury to his knee was struggling to get into the game and there were couple of long-range effort from both Ganesan and Sathiya which went wide and off-target. In the 17 minute, a misunderstanding and again a very poor marking by the CFC Captain, gifted BT with a goal, which took CFC by shock. With very few minutes remaining, another defeat was looming all around the CFC team. Last minute pressuring by Arulkanesh, to get his team-mates going resulted in 2 goals in 2 minutes thanks to Brahma and Sathiya. Overall, it was a very poor-show by the team in Yellow... with all their passes were haywire and too many miscommunication in the team. Is it the end of Arulkanesh, the Captain's era ... ??
Game ended with a narrow 2-1 win over BT..

Snapshots from Last Saturday...

Review Game No.2

First 3 points of the season .. first clean sheet of the season and expect alot of this thru out the season.. tats the message from the Team in Yellow.
After losing to Boogis FC in their 1st game, CFC defeated De'Knights 1-0 in the their 2nd game of the season. Brahma, opened his goalscoring account for tis season with a tight-angled shot pass the De'Knights keeper. It was rather a relaxing game for CFC, as most of their players were seen relaxed and walking around in da game instead of running for the ball.. especially the both Aruls, but the Manager yet to confirm were tat due to injuries to those two players or something else.
CFC, tis time started with Sathya, their newbie in between the goal post, and Arulkanesh, Arul, Ganesan and Brahma were the outfield players they started with. There were alot of chances for CFC.. 1 came as early as in the 1st minute of the game.. a cheeky free kick from Arulkanesh went just couple of inches away from the goal post, with the De' Knights keeper was watching the ball flew by. De Knights were defending well by limiting the shooting chances to CFC, but they were still some good movement between the players and Updesh lashed on to 2-3 shots tat were blocked and deflected by De'Knights defenders. The first half ended with no goals from both team. CFC clearly was not on thier best form.. they were searching for their form that they showed against Boogis the previous game. CFC started the 2nd half with De'Knight players were putting more pressure on them.. there were alot of fouls in the game.. thankfully none of the players ended up with any serious injuries. Following some good footwork from Brahma, he passed a ball to Ganesan, which just needed a cool placing to put the ball
behind the net, but he sent the ball high and wide... Then in da 13 minute, a breakaway by Arul from the defence into the De' Knights half resulted in a goal after Brahma tucked in the ball from a very acute angle. 1-0 to CFC. Minutes after tat.. another great footwork by Brahma send Updesh with just a 'tap in da ball' for the 2nd goal, the tall striker lashed on a fierce shot sending the ball high up.
The goal-scorer came close to get his 2nd goal, with oni the opponent keeper on his way, but he too, coudn't keep his calm to slot the ball back into the net.
Overall, there were alot of chances, but CFC players just can't take advantage of those. The game ended 1-0 for CFC.

Friday's Compatriots

Last Friday, CFC, as usual had their weekly friday training and this time their training partners were Heroes and U9 from M1. Its been a while that both CFC and U9 been playing together on Fridays.. but for the past 2 weeks, Heroes had joined them too.. Heroes with their star players like Ijat and Sharma was very fun and enjoyable to play with. Not to forget bout U9, with their own star players such as Ganesh, Suzuan, Wak ( macam mane tendang pun he can catch the ball... haha.. Org Kelantan..) and etc etc... CFC manager was seen walking back happily tat nite, we all still wondering what made Ganesh a happy man that nite.. hahah :)

Match Day 2

Chittapa FC vs De'Knights

After the 1st game, CFC came back home with no points at all, disappointment was clear in most of the players face especially Sathiya, Ganesan and Brahma. Only 1 thing in their mind currently, getting 3 points from the next game against De'Knights.

De'Knights, with their most experienced player, Damo playing as their backbone, pulled out a great result last week after defeating the RFL 08/09 2nd runner up, GM by 3 goals to 2. Showed a nice performance with goals from Arasan and a long-range shot from Lawrence. Lawrence, Arasan and Damo might well be the architect of the team to pull out another match-winning-performance against CFC tis week. Surely all the players are pumped-up with the result and surely wanna keep the pressure on the league leader.

CFC, will be heading towards thier 2nd game with only 1 target in their head that full of medical stuffs- getting 3 points. The players showed some nice combination and chemistry between them during their 1st game and put up a strong performance last week, but Lady Luck wasn't with them last week. They will desperately finding for that Lady tis week.. In which floor does she lives..? :P Captain Arulkanesh, will be looking for his strikers to be more adventurous up front tis week but the million dollar question is... who will be the goalie tis Saturday..? Arul or a new face..?

Player to watch out : Arasan- with his shooting ability in front of the goal
Damo & Lawrence - his long range shooting
Vara - the little striker with good pace
Their Supporters - great cheering for their team last week.

Review Game No1

At last RFL 08/09 kicked off last Saturday... the much awaited game of the week between Chittapa FC and Boogis FC kicked off with alot of energy in it. Boogis started with their usual starting line up including Paan, Dalvin, Riz, Iqbal and their captain Aman. That starting line up showed how determined they were in getting all 3 points from the match. CFC started with Arulkanesh, Ganesan, Desh and Arul suprisingly started between the goal-post. The game was high-tempo-ed with each team trying to break each others defence to get the early goal. Dalvin with his trademark long shotting persistently kept Arul busy, but somehow Arulkanesh kept the defence tight..but CFC the one who opened the goal scoring withArulkanesh showing some brilliant skill to pass over 1 Boogis player and lashed a great shot towards the goal, Paan, the Boogis keeper cant do much but picking up the ball from back of his own goal. Dalvin sent a marvelous free kick that hit the goal post, with CFC goalie was somehow beaten. The first half ended with 1-0 to CFC.

The second half kicked of by CFC.. and there were very little chance for both of the team. Both team cancelled out each other, until a misunderstanding inside the Chittapa FC's penalty box lead to a own-goal from thier Captain after what seemed to be a dangerous-free ball rolled pass the goalie. 1-1 and Boogis FC was back on level term. With the game seemed to end in a draw, a slide tackle by Brahma in front of the CFC goal-post lead to a freekick, which Dalvin cheekly slot passed Arul. With seconds remaining after Dalvin's goal.. the game ended with Boogis FC edging Chittapa FC by 1 goal.

A wonderful game with alot to learn from both team. Lady luck wasnt with Chittapa FC that nite.. Congratz to Boogis...

Match Day 1

MATCH DAY 1

First game of the season for Chittapa FC is against the 'invincible' Boogis FC who finished 2nd last season. With their lastman, Dalvin is back after a injury spell near the end of last season... and also not to forget their talisman, Iqbal with all his crafty skills... Boogis FC surely pose a great threat to Chittapa FC in their first game.

Chittapa FC is hoping for a good start to their new season. They will surely be aware of the danger Boogis FC pose.. but with their "intel" that has been secretly spying :P on Boogis FC's training session for the past 2 weeks.. Chittapa FC is hoping to give a great fight against the RFL 07/08 1st runner-up.. :P

Tackle Down the Memory Lane... of Chittapa FC.....

The journey started on the 11 Dec 2005, when RSMU had their first ever Futsal Tournament. The tournament was organized by some seniors that time, and 6 teams participated in the 2 day tournament. Some of the teams that took part was Rolton FC, Chittapa FC, G-15 and 3 more teams.. The tournament won by Rolton FC by winning all their 5 games and G-15 second and Chittapa Fc third as both team shared the same points at the end of the day, with 10 points each, but G-15 had scored more goals then Chittapa FC.
Chittapa FC - 3rd place.

Then came the first ever Tamil New Year Cup 06, which was held in conjunction with Tamil New Year on April 2006.
A total of 8 teams from both M1 and M2 took part and some of the teams that worth mentioning was Rolton FC, M1 Uni Team, G-15, Chittapa FC, Tutto Bene and Copa Cobana. Chittapa FC was drawn into 2nd group which consisted of M1 Uni Team, Tutto Bene and Cleopatra Nefertiti. CFC won 1 game and drew 2 games and finished the group in 2nd place with 5 points.1st place from each group went through for the Final which was between G-15 and M1 Uni Team and G-15 emerged as the Winner. 2nd placing teams from each group played for the 3rd placing which was between Chittapa FC and Rolton FC, Chittapa FC finished as a better team at the final whistle by scoring 3 goals and conceding 1.
Chittapa FC - 3rd Place

Our first RFL kicked of on Oct 2006 with 13 teams took part and CFC played 6 games and collected 11 points, due to insufficient time, all the teams are drawn into 4 group for the later stage of the the league. CFC drawn with Boogie FC, Vege FC and S.Volgina. CFC finished in second place behind Boogie with 6 points. In the Q-Final stage CFC beat D-Crocs 1-0 and advanced to Semi-Final where CFC beat Al-quads, team full of Arabians 4-1. The final showdown was again between 2 heavyweights of RFL, Chittapa FC and Pejuang Hamas(formerly known as Rolton FC)
The final was full of entertainment and excitements. Chittapa FC humbled Pejuang Hamas by 5 goals to 4 and the game was considered as one of the most entertaining game of the season by some futsal pundits.. :P
Chittapa FC ended RFL 06/07 as the Champion.

RFL 07/08 started with only 12 teams and as the regaining Champion, Chittapa FC started their season against Copa Cobana where they were thrashed 5-0 by Copa. With alot of new players and no 'chemistry' between the players, Chittapa FC had a 'yo-yo' season, they only managed to get 4 wins and 3 draws out of 11 games. They even suffered some unexpected lost against Gastroboi and Geng Malaysia.
Chittapa FC finished the RFL 07/08 in 6th position behind the Champion - G-15, Boogis FC, Geng Malaysia, Copa Cobana and Tutto Bene.
Its was a disappointing season for Chittapa FC. :(

The second Tamil New Year Cup was held in April 2008 and 16 teams from both M1 and M2 took part. All the teams were drawn into 8 groups and Chittapa FC was drawn into Group B with Heroes, D'Croz and another M1 team.
CFC finished da group in 2nd place and met with U9 in Q-final. Chittapa FC just ran out of gas as they lost 2-1 in the dying minutes of 2nd extra time. The Tamil New Year Cup 08 was won by Dorsel FC which consisted of all 6th years seniors. Another disappointment to CFC as they targeted to finis as semifinalist at least.

With tha 3rd successive RFL opening its curtain on 18 Oct 2008, Chittapa FC hopes to have a better run in the league and will be trying to match their RFL 06/07 achievement.
We wish Chittapa FC all the best and good luck for their new RFL season.... :)
